Currently, we live in a world where majority of people own smart gadgets. This can be Smartphones, Smartwatches or Smart Televisions. This electronic devices have helped us in terms of communication, entertainment and information.
What Is A Screenshot?

A Screenshot is a pictorial representation of what appears on the screen. It's Some times called a screen capture.

Screenshots are used for keeping records for future reference. This can be screenshots of messages, online transactions, and other important information. These records can also be important when it comes to legal matters and just in case some proof is needed.

Educational purposes

Screenshots can be used by programmers and developers who develop and make apps and games to teach other people how to use or play a certain game. Screenshots can also be uses to guide people on a certain matter or topic.



The truth is that different smartphones use different ways because the devices use different Operating Systems (OS) and some earlier smartphones lack this option.


Let's start with Android devices


Not all Android Smartphones can take screenshots as I mentioned earlier. You must also note that there are different ways of taking a screenshot on an Android device.

The first common way is to slide down or pull down from the Notification bar downwards on the screen. This will show you various options eg data on, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Just look for the screenshot option and click on it. 

Secondly, you can press the power off button just as if you want to switch off your phone and select the screenshot option when the powering off menu appears.

Another way is to press the volume down and the power button together and a screenshot will be taken.

Another way that works of most recently released devices is, slide three fingers from the top of your screen downwards, and there you go, you've taken a screenshot.


Where To Find Taken Screenshots On Android.


Screenshots are automatically stored on your phone's internal memory. Find a folder names screenshots Inside the DCIM folder. Or just head over to the gallery and find an album named screenshots and you can share your screenshots with friends.


Screenshot On Windows PC or Laptop


Some people find it hard to e a screenshot on their PCs or Laptops. Follow the steps below keenly and learn how to take a screenshot on your PC or Laptop.

  - On your keyboard, find a button or key named Print/Scn then click on it.

  - Press the Windows home key and search for a program called Paint.

  - Open paint and click Control + V keys together to pasty or alternatively, right-click your mouse and select paste.

  - The picture of your screen will be pasted on the paint workspace.

  - Go to File and select save as, enter your preferred location and file name then save your screenshot.
